Hear about Anniesland Methodist Church on the latest Methodist pod Cast

The Methodist Church has issued guidance, especially in relation to the sacrament of Holy Communion.

The publication of the New Year Honours list (with personal contact details included) highlighted the importance of complying with current Data Protection legislation. Not only has this caused security problems for some but there will almost certainly be a hefty fine imposed for the breach.

The Methodist Church has guidelines on procedures which should be followed by all who store information on behalf of the Church, no matter whether in paper form or electronically and these apply to even the smallest of churches. The Marriage and Relationships Task Group produced this report which was discussed and amended at the Methodist Conference in July 2019.

All members of the Connexion are invited to read and discuss it prayerfully, in preparation for further discussions at Synods and next year’s Conference.

This is important for churches to look at as part of a reflection on Climate change.
