An opportunity for members of the Methodist Church to share their thoughts on the Missional Use of Property.
The 2026 Methodist Conference received a report on the Missional Use of Property, posing questions about how we can best use our property in missional ways. The report highlighted three strategic areas which needed to be developed further to support The Missional Use of Property:
- Having a clear and theological informed understanding of the Local Church in relation to property
- Having a clear rationale and framework for Methodist property which enables a missional use of property
- Local Church Trusteeship – how can Local Churches be led and governed so that a strategic approach to growth (spiritual, missional and numerical) is the priority?
The Conference noted that each of these areas needed to begin by listening across the Methodist Church, so as part of that listening process, we are inviting people from across the Connexion to sign up so as many voices as possible can be heard.
There will be three online consultations held on the following dates:
- 16th November, 2pm to 4pm
- 17th November, 7pm to 9pm
- 26th November, 2pm to 4pm
Each of the three sessions will be the same so you only need to register for one.
The sessions will be held on Zoom and the link will be sent by eventbrite before the meeting.
