Benefact Trust’s Methodist Grants Programme, funded primarily by donations from Methodist Insurance PLC, seeks to enhance the mission and ministry of the Methodist Church in the UK and Ireland. The programme provides grants to Methodist churches to run building development projects that focus on church growth (both numerically and spiritually), community engagement and improving accessibility. Grants are also available for repair and maintenance projects that are essential for the ongoing mission and ministry of an organisation. Green Christian

The UK government is consulting with the public on whether to end new drilling for oil and gas.
Operation Noah, Christian Climate Action, Christian Aid, the Laudato Si Movement and Green Christian are joining together with Uplift, the group behind Stop Rosebank, to use this moment to persuade our politicians to take action to end further exploration for fossil fuels in the UK.
Their online event on Thursday 6 February at 7pm will help Christians to find out more and to participate in the campaign.

Meeting for Worship Leaders
As you know, the Methodist Church in Scotland will be a single circuit from 1st September 2025. This change is an opportunity to look at how we worship, how we support one another and how we can learn and grow together.
Whilst worship leaders normally operate only in their own congregation, the move to a single circuit will affect fellowship and training so there will be an opportunity for all worship leaders in Scotland (and those in training) to come together on Zoom to share ideas, concerns, questions and suggestions.
The evening will be led by Rev. Adam Stevenson (Superintendent minister of the Forth Valley Circuit and Superintendent-Designate for the Scotland Circuit) and Kathryn Campbell (Learning Network) along with Anne Baird (District WLP Secretary) and Jill Baker (District WLP Tutor).
Do contact Adam adam.stevenson@methodist.org.uk or Kathryn campbellk@methodistchurch.org.uk for any more information.
So please put Tuesday 11th March 2025 at 7:30pm in your diary and share this with Worship Leaders in your church or circuit – the Zoom link will be available nearer the time.

Lenten campaign
In the wilderness, Jesus reminded us that people don’t live by bread alone.
Our Lent 2025 campaign is called Soul Food. Each week during Len4 we’ll be reflecting on what sustains us, based on the Sunday lectionary Gospel passage.
We’d love for you to join in, as a church or an individual.
