Many of you will have received this message already if you have booked through Eventbrite – but if you have not registered and still hope to attend – please note the following:
In the light of the news of the death of Her Majesty the Queen, the planning group met to discuss the Scottish Methodist Gathering which starts on Friday. We felt that it was appropriate for the Methodist family to continue to gather at this time.
The Scottish Methodist Gathering will therefore go ahead starting at 7pm on Friday as planned.
There will however been some changes as a sign of respect. The ceilidh which was planned to start the Gathering has been cancelled and instead there will be a time for reflection and an opportunity to get to know each other better. Otherwise, the weekend will continue as planned.
We look forward to seeing you over the weekend and hope you feel that you are still able to attend.
We give thanks to God for the life of the Her Majesty the Queen and our prayers are for her family.
