Could your project employ a young person for a year?

ONE Programme Participants

Do you have an innovative project idea for a ONE Programme Participant (OPP)? Hosting an OPP is an excellent opportunity for districts, circuits, churches and church projects to have input from, and into, a young person based in their project for a year-long, paid, internship with training-provided. The OPP Host Application Packs are available now!

We are always keen to find a wide variety of different projects that can offer an exciting and supported year to an OPP. For 2018/19 we are looking for projects with a particular emphasis on evangelism and vocation, which will contribute to the development of a young person’s calling. The host projects do not necessarily have to be children’s or youth work – in the past we have had young people placed with food banks, creative arts projects and Street Pastors to name a few.

The aim is for each of the 11 regions to have a suitable Host Project. Churches and projects, from across the Connexion, or that have a link to the Methodist Church, are invited to apply to host a young person on placement with the ONE Programme.

More details, including applications packs. The closing date for applications is 9am Tuesday 6th March 2018.

Please do consider being a Host Project and submit an application form by the deadline. If you have any further questions or queries, please contact  darlowl@methodistchurch.org.uk
