The City of Edinburgh Methodist Church has a vacancy for the post of caretaker. Core hours will be Friday 5pm- 10pm, Saturday 9am- 12 noon, Sunday 9.30am- 2.30pm and Monday 8am- 5pm. There will also be overtime will be on a rota basis.
The work will include upkeep and repair of the premises; working with maintenance companies; welcoming and removing people from premises; as well as undertaking porter and cleaning duties. A flexible approach to work and a friendly ‘can do’ attitude is essential. The successful applicant must have experience of caretaking duties, problem solving, working with the public and basic DIY skills.
The caretaker will work between our buildings in Nicolson Square, Edinburgh and Junction Place, Leith from time to time. The successful applicant will join a team of caretakers. The hours that the buildings are open (on a regular basis) are from 7.30am to 10pm, so you need to be available to work within these hours.
